Leija Featured on TNT
2-time World Champ showcased for his work with San Antonio Spurs                                                                         November 2, 2007

During the first half of the San Antonio Spurs season opening contest with the Portland Trail Blazers, 2-time World boxing Champion Jesse James Leija and his work implementing a boxing training program with the 4-time NBA champs was highlighted.

Leija has been working with the team for the past three months at their northwest area practice facility.

This is the first time the NBA organization has utilized Leija in an official capacity.  Former Spurs Malik Rose and Antonio Daniels have used the Leija boxing training method in the past.

During the October 30 broadcast, all three of the TNT commentators, Marv Albert, future hall of famer Reggie Miller and Mike Fratello spoke of Leija and the training method that is being praised by Spurs head coach Greg Popovich. 

Albert also spoke of being the lead broadcaster for a few of Leija's fights in the ring throughout his career.
